Beyond Taj Tours is a boutique photography travel company operated by Beyond Taj Tours Private Limited, India. We are led by a German-Indian team — combining European standards of organisation, communication, and customer care with decades of on-the-ground expertise across the Indian subcontinent. We specialise in small-group and bespoke photography expeditions across India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, with a maximum group size of six participants per tour.
Our tours are operated on the ground in partnership with Orange Tours & Trips Pvt. Ltd. (orangedmc.com), a licensed Destination Management Company based in India. References to "we,""us," or "Beyond Taj Tours" in these Terms include our partnership with Orange Tours & Trips Pvt. Ltd. as the licensed ground operator responsible for in-country logistics, transportation, and accommodation bookings.
A booking is confirmed once we have received your completed booking form and a deposit payment of 30% of the total tour price. You will receive a written confirmation by email within 24 hours, along with a tour contract detailing all specific terms and conditions applicable to your booking. Until you receive this confirmation, your place on the tour is not guaranteed.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before the tour departure date. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full tour price is payable at the time of booking.
All prices are quoted in Euros (€) unless stated otherwise. Prices are per person, based on double or twin occupancy, and do not include international flights unless explicitly stated in your tour itinerary.
Each tour page on our website lists a detailed breakdown of inclusions and exclusions specific to that tour. As a general rule:
Typically included: accommodation as specified, in-country transportation, photography guiding and mentoring, entrance fees listed in the itinerary, meals as stated per tour.
Typically excluded: international flights, travel insurance, visa fees, personal expenses, tips and gratuities, photography equipment, alcoholic beverages, and any meals not explicitly listed as included.
We strongly recommend reviewing the inclusion list for your specific tour before booking.
We understand that plans change. Life happens, cameras get stolen, and occasionally people discover they're not quite as fond of 4am wake-up calls as they thought they'd be. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover. This is not optional advice — India's festival calendar is non-negotiable, and flights, heritage hotels, and special access arrangements are booked well in advance on your behalf.
Beyond Taj Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour in the following circumstances:
In the event of cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to Beyond Taj Tours. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including non-refundable flights or travel insurance.
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to itineraries where circumstances require it — for example, road conditions, festival timing adjustments, or access restrictions. We will always aim to provide an equivalent or superior alternative.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all Beyond Taj Tours participants. Your policy must include, at minimum: medical coverage, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and coverage for the countries visited.
Proof of travel insurance may be requested prior to departure. Beyond Taj Tours and Orange Tours & Trips Pvt. Ltd. accept no liability for costs arising from the absence of adequate travel insurance.
Our tours visit locations that may involve walking on uneven terrain, early morning starts, heat, dust, and festival crowds. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in adequate physical health to participate.
Please disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility limitations at the time of booking. This information is held confidentially and used solely to ensure your safety and comfort on tour.
Beyond Taj Tours reserves the right to exclude a participant from any part of a tour activity if their participation poses a risk to themselves or others.
Beyond Taj Tours may photograph tour activities for use in marketing materials, including our website, social media, and print publications. If you do not wish to appear in photographs used for these purposes, please notify us in writing before the tour begins.
Participants retain full ownership of all photographs taken during tours. We ask only that you credit Beyond Taj Tours when publishing images taken during a tour on public platforms, and that you consider the privacy of local communities and individuals when sharing imagery online.
Beyond Taj Tours and Orange Tours & Trips Pvt. Ltd. act as organisers and facilitators of travel experiences. We take every reasonable precaution to ensure participant safety and tour quality. However, we cannot accept liability for:
Our total liability to any participant is limited to the total price paid for the tour in question.
If something isn't right during your tour, please raise it with your tour leader immediately so we have the opportunity to resolve it on the spot. We cannot address issues that were not reported during the tour and are raised only after your return.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Beyond Taj Tours Private Limited is incorporated in India and operates under Indian law. By booking a tour, you acknowledge this jurisdiction.
